Kelsie Boulton is a research fellow at the Clinic for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Research (CAN Research) at the University of Sydney. Her research focuses on identifying common needs for children and families with neurodevelopmental conditions and developing innovative, evidence-based therapies to improve outcomes for these groups.
Boulton completed her Ph.D. in 2019, with her doctoral work focusing on attentional and behavioral underpinnings of social processing in neurodevelopmental conditions and anxiety disorders. She works closely with services across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network to integrate research with clinical practice and identify and respond to transdiagnostic needs in children and families accessing these services. As part of her role with the CAN Research team, she is also an investigator on two national clinical trials evaluating the efficacy of innovative therapies to improve social communication and reduce social anxiety in autism.
